Join the dynamic team at KTVU FOX 2 and FOX Local, the Bay Area's leading source for news and information! We're on the lookout for passionate individuals who value journalism and aspire to contribute to our top-tier reporting, both on-screen and behind the scenes, across broadcast and streaming platforms. We're currently seeking full time Reporter with strong editorial, storytelling, live and digital skills, and a desire to create compelling content. Become part of a winning team with a culture that is committed to supporting, mentoring, and training our staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Successful reporters are dynamic individuals who are curious about the community and world around them; creative in sourcing, developing and producing engaging stories for our broadcast, streaming and digital platforms; and competitive in monitoring other sources of news, challenging themselves to be different and working to continually elevate KTVU coverage. This position requires a strong understanding of newsroom production and an ability to work with different teams to create content for multiple platforms. In addition to traditional reporting duties, this position plays a key role in supporting and shaping KTVU’s growing streaming initiatives. Reporters are expected to contribute actively to our live and on-demand streaming efforts by regularly pitching original ideas tailored for digital and streaming platforms. This may include developing and hosting live streaming segments, conducting interviews, moderating discussions, or anchoring breaking news cut-ins for Fox Local and other digital channels. Strong candidates will also have experience producing and presenting weather forecasts and may be called upon to present weather, discuss climate and weather conditions, or host a weather-focused show for our broadcast and/or streaming and digital platforms
Minimum Requirements:
A deep connection to the San Francisco Bay Area is highly favorable—whether you grew up, attended school, or have previously worked in the region, we value your intrinsic understanding of our community and its stories.
High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred.
Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience with fast-paced television productions, including live shots, in-studio, and field interviews.
Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
