Job Description

***Experience In Preschool Early Intervention Required

The role of the Director of Early Intervention is to manage, lead, and provide exceptional oversight of Preschool and Infant Toddler Early Intervention teams and partnerships

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain exceptional partner relationships through proactive engagement and problem-solving. Build and maintain a collaborative and effective relationship with Early Intervention leaders. This would include on-site visits and attendance in regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Meet with Early Intervention partners to assess clinical needs, evaluate current staffing performance, and ensure compliance with all Partner policies and procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with all field staff members by providing clinical support, coaching, resources, and guidance.
  • Directly supervise Early Intervention Clinical Leads to support daily operations and professional growth activities with the Early Intervention clinical teams
  • Complete compliance activities including reviewing and compiling reports, and completion of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance activities
  • Support recruitment and hiring through interviewing, networking and participation in recruiting activities
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Minimum requirements):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Five years of experience in the field, a minimum of 3 years of experience directly supervising early intervention teams, including caseload assignment and management
  • Ability to manage and support multiple clinical disciplines and early intervention leaders at various locations.
  • Working knowledge of Preschool and Infant Toddler Early Intervention regulations and requirements, including assessment, the development of IEP’s and IFSP’s, and service delivery requirements
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills in managing employee relations, personnel issues, and performance metrics
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in teams
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail
People   Management   Responsibility :
  • This position oversees multiple disciplines, clinical and non-clinical, who are delivering services in homes, community preschools and early childhood programs, and in specialized early intervention classrooms

Ability to commute/relocate:
  • (Required) Position includes supporting Early Intervention Partners in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the field of Early Intervention
  • Minimum of 3 years directly supervising early intervention programs
