Siemens eMobility® solutions is shaping the market with innovative Electric Vehicle (EV) charging technologies. We are dedicated to driving an open and accessible market for electric vehicles, as well as planning and implementing secure grid connections to enable further growth of EV adoption.

We are hiring a Commodity Specialist In Raleigh NC or Atlanta GA to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-effective procurement of materials. You will also play a key role in leveraging data analytics and reporting tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

You will make an impact with the following duties:

  • Commodity Strategy Development: Implement and support long-term commodity strategies to ensure a cost-effective and reliable supply of materials.
  • Process Standardization: Contribute to the adoption and consistent use of globally defined procurement methods, systems, and processes (e.g., P2P, procurement guidelines, IT systems).
  • Negotiation & Cost Savings: Prepare and conduct negotiations for low to medium purchasing volumes, with support from senior team members as needed. Drive cost savings and document results through KPIs such as CNI.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Develop and maintain data-driven reporting tools and dashboards to monitor procurement performance, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.
  • Supplier Management: Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and development processes. Maintain supplier performance data to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain influential relationships with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment, early involvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Project Ownership: Lead and manage procurement-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
  • Knowledge Management: Systematically share procurement insights, updated contractual terms, and supplier data to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related occupation
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with the following:
    • Procurement, sourcing, or commodity management.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools).
    • Proven ability to develop and implement reporting tools that drive efficiency and insight.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement platforms.
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

The pay range for this position is $73,500 - $126,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
